According to this, Maharashtra State Khadi & Village Industries Board was constituted.

Maharashtra State Khadi & Village Industries Board is constituted as follow:

The Board is headed by Chairman and assisted by 6 Members.The Member Secretary of the Board is the Chief Executive Officer.On the same lines, at district level, there is a District Committee which constitutes 3 non-official members and 9 official members.The District official head of the Board commonly named as District Village Industries Officer works as the Member Secretary of the District Committee.

The developmental funds are made available to the MSKVIB by the Commissionerate of K&VIs. The Board's Head Office is at Mumbai. and Division offices at divisions laid down by Revenue Department of the Government. and also district offices and taluka offices in each district and talukas of the State. Thus, MSKVIB has access at the grassroot level through which the Board has covered about 29000 of the 41000 villages in the State.Since its formation, the Board has provided employment to 536144 candidates (396001 men & 140143 women) through 2,51,284 working units in the KVI Sector as on 31/3/2005
