There is no greater happiness in human life than getting an opportunity to work in your field of interest. Khadi and village industry are related to indigenous ethics and indigenous thought. While the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence was being celebrated, the Government of Maharashtra appointed me as the Chairman of the Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board. I consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to work in this unique field.

Today, social media plays an important role not only in India but also in the entire world. It is seen as a great tool for communication and the presentation of ideas. In today’s time, government, semi-government, and non-government organisations create their websites and give information about their work to the public, creating an image of the organisation in society.

The Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board was established in 1962 under an Act of the Legislature. Educated unemployed people, entrepreneurs, artisans, and people who want to start a new business in society have been connected with the board through the slogan “Aapla Haat-Aamchi Saath”. Today, the work of the board has reached every village in every district of the state. It is a great joy that Mahatma Gandhi’s dream that “All villages should be self-sufficient” is being realised by khadi board.

We are very happy to present the new website of the Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board. We believe that using this website will be helpful for you to get information about various schemes of the Board.

Thank You!
