There is no greater happiness in human life than getting an opportunity to work in your field of interest. Khadi and village industry are related to indigenous ethics and indigenous thought. While the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence was being celebrated, the Government of Maharashtra appointed me as the Chairman of the Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board.

The Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries is the only effective means of generating employment in rural areas. Inspired by Gandhiji’s slogan ” Go to the village”, the board has taken up village industry.
